Like so many others I like to check out a golf course before I play.  Look at some pics, basically scope out what I’m getting into.  Unfortunately there is really just a lack of pictures out there for golf courses.  Some course have some pics on their main website, but nothing to write home about.  With that said, the inspiration to create this blog came to fruition, when I decided it was time to start taking some pictures and reviewing Chicagoland golf courses, and share them with my fellow golfers.

I am an avid golfer and true patron of the game.  I mostly tee it up in the Chicagoland area, but do not hesitate to venture further for a good course.  I have been playing golf all my life, but really started taking the game seriously over the past 12 years. In this time I have had the opportunity to play some of the best public courses this area has to offer.   I am a 14 handicap, and prefer playing each course from the tips (but it all depends on who I’m playing with).  Given my handicap I shouldn’t even consider playing from the tips, but I like to get my money’s worth.  I believe you can’t appreciate and get a real feel for a course unless you have played every yard of it.

Chicago Golf is your source for Chicagoland golf course reviews and other golf related topics.  Chicago offers some of the best public courses in the country and all within a reasonable driving distance from the city. This blog is intended to provide golfers with information and recommendations on the majority of these courses.

On this site I will share detailed hole-by-hole pictures and reviews of each course I have played and hopefully it will help golfers decide where to tee it up next.
