If you live downtown, Water’s Edge is one of the better courses you can play in proximity to the city. For me it only takes about 20-25 minutes to get to and I play this course every year. Designed by Rick Robbins and PGA Consultant Gary Koch, this course plays from 6,904 yards and a rating/slope of 72.9/131 from the men’s tees, and 6,609 yards with a rating/slope of 74.5/130 from the women’s tees. Water’s Edge provides a great challenge for all levels of golfers, and a scenic round of golf. You will get a blend of tree lined and wide open fairways, and well positioned water hazards on your round. A few holes have some elevation changes, but for the most part the course is pretty flat. Each time I have played here the course has been in great condition, and I played each round rather quickly. There is also a grass driving range, and practice putting green for your pre-game warm up. I recommend this course to all golfers and especially those living in the city looking for a good round of golf and one where you don’t have to travel too far for.
